This publication provides a <strong>comprehensive analytical overview<\/strong> of the pharmaceutical market in 2023, encompassing various perspectives on <strong>drug consumption<\/strong> and <strong>expenditures<\/strong>, as well as the <strong>availability<\/strong> and <strong>inclusion of new drugs<\/strong> and indications in the <strong>reimbursement system<\/strong> in 2023, based on publicly available and requested data from state authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In the publication, you will find a selection of the most interesting <strong>analyses<\/strong>, which can be useful for <strong>planning<\/strong> and <strong>strategic decision-making<\/strong> purposes in pharmaceutical companies and healthcare institutions, and can also be beneficial for various <strong>presentations about the pharmaceutical market<\/strong> in Slovakia. The publication also includes specific analyses that help <strong>evaluate the inclusion of innovative drugs in the reimbursement system<\/strong>, such as analyses of the \u201cage\u201d of drugs, or the introduction of \u201corphan\u201d and ATMP drugs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Included are also <strong>statistical outputs<\/strong> of the assessment and <strong>decision-making processes<\/strong> of NIHO and the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic, analyses of <strong>the duration of proceedings and their success rates<\/strong>, and for unsuccessful proceedings, the main reasons for <strong>not including drugs<\/strong> in the reimbursement system. Another interesting aspect is the view on expenditures for drugs not included in the ZKL, and as a current topic is the availability of drugs, a brief statistics on drug supply shortages in Slovakia is also included.
