What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that can be sent to your internet browser when visiting a website and then stored on your device (computer or other equipment with internet access, e.g. smartphone or tablet). Cookie files are stored in your browser’s folder or subfolder. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they are from and the date of creation. The next time you visit the same website, the web browser reads the cookie files again and sends this information back to the website that initially generated the cookies. The cookie files that we use are harmless to your computer.
How do I change my cookie settings?
Most internet browsers have the default setting on automatic acceptance of cookies. You can change this setting to block cookies or to issue alerts when cookies are to be stored on your device. You will find the instructions on how to change cookies in every browser. If you use different devices to access a website (e.g. computer, smartphone, tablet), we recommend you set your cookie settings to suit you on each of your devices.
Why keep the cookie settings?
